Welcome to my blog. My blog is mainly for the sharing of the many projects I make either for swaps, for gifts or just because I was inspired by something I saw on the internet and wanted to give it a try as well. I hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any questions be sure to send me a comment.

Latest Journal pages.

The cover was created using some old "paste paper"  I made in a class year ago.

The Butterfly page was created by with pigment inks to create a background using a direct to paper method.  Then I printed a clip art picture of a butterfly on top of it .  I am so pleased with how it turned out.

New Journal Pages...

Here are 6 new pages.

This set with the dancing lyrics was made using
supplies I received in an RAK from member Holly,
on the AFTCM yahoo group.  I just ran the papers
through the computer to print the lyrics on them.

Art Journal Book

After working on a few art journal pages for a an art exchange and really enjoying using the Dylusions ink sprays and stencils, I've decided to start an Art Journal Book.  The pages are 8.5 x 5.5 and are a really nice size to be able to create something quick.  It's just a whimsical project for me,  not really a journal that reflects any serious thoughts I have, just whatever strikes my fancy.  Here is what I've created so far.

Art Swap projects.

Two recent projects included a couple of my favorite types of project.  "Summer in Paris" a digital hybrid (meaning something was physically added to the piece after it was printed), and a grunge tag duo.

Steampunk Shoes

I borrowed this stamp from a friend and stamped, embossed in different colors of powder.  These are 2 cards I've made using this wonderful shoe from Stampendous Rubber Stamps. The actual stamp has the words "click your heels" which just sounded too "ruby slippers for me."  Keeping my eyes open for a saying for the rust colored card.   Also shows a close up of the hardware attached to the ankle of boot.  A jewelry clasp for the end of ribbon with a key hanging from it.

More Art Journal pages...

The top two are the backs of the first two pages that I uploaded.  The bottom two are the front and back of a new page I did this weekend.  For the most part they are incomplete until I can get some inspiration for finishing them.

Art Journal Pages

I was fascinated by the videos from January's Craft & Hobby Association show with Dyan Reaverley color sprays.  So I've bought them and decided that creating backgrounds would be fun.  There is a lot of talk these days about Art Journaling, so went one step further and created a couple of art journal page.  Here are my results.  Pretty pleased with how they turned out.  We're featuring an Art Journal page swap on my AFTCM Yahoo group.  I am currently working on another page for that.

Wax Transfer Technique.

Found this neat and simple tutorial on a Stamp TV YouTube video.  It's shown using a Cuttlebug but can use with any system that uses embossing.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfWkI3pM-OE
I did this technique this month as a hands on demo for stamp club.  Even the imperfect results worked great when you stamped over it.  A bonus to the project is that the piece of paper I used under the cards while I was adding the ink created a fun inked up paper that can be used for another project.
